Prof. Dr. Andrea Koch
HAWK Hochschule Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen -
University of Applied Sciences and Arts
Andrea Koch studied physics at the University of Heidelberg and Göttingen, Germany. She gained her Ph.D. at the Laser-Laboratory Göttingen e.V. developing laser diagnostic techniques for combustion analysis. As post-doctoral research assistance at the University of Oxford, UK, she broadened her experience in laser diagnostics by applying Degenerated Four Wave Mixing techniques to combustion analysis.
Andrea Koch made use of her experience in laser science and application working for MicroLas Lasersystem GmbH, which is part of Coherent GmbH today. She designed laser beam delivering systems for material processing. Since 2001 Andrea Koch is professor at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts at Göttingen. Her main fields of research and teaching are laser spectroscopy, laser material processing and optical design.
